Rideshare-Commerce Platform Cargo Debuts Collaborations With Snapchat and SnackNation For Its Los Angeles Launch
LOS ANGELES — June 13, 2018 — Cargo, the leading in-car commerce platform for the rideshare economy, today announces collaborations with Los Angeles-based Snapchat andSnackNation. This marks Cargo’s L.A. launch, and the company’s first expansion to the WestCoast. Now passengers in Cargo-equipped rideshare cars can order complimentary and retail products like Red Bull, RXBAR protein bars, Matcha Lip Balm by Winky Lux, SmartyPants Vitamins, and snacks curated by SnackNation, directly through the Snapchat app by scanning the Snapcode printed on every Cargo box.

By opening the Snapchat app and scanning the Snapcode printed on the Cargo box, L.A. riders have a familiar way to more easily browse and select products available during their ride.While browsing Cargo’s menu, riders can also unlock Snapchat Lenses from Cargo brands.
By partnering with SnackNation, the award-winning snack delivery service becomes Cargo’s lead national distributor for healthy, premium and emerging products. For Cargo’s L.A. launch, SnackNation’s selection includes Halfpops Simply Sea Salt Curiously Crunchy Popcorn, Nothing But The Fruit’s Raspberry Chia Real Fruit Bites, and Yomms Coco Twist Deli Nuts. As Cargo scales across the U.S., SnackNation will provide data and guidance to help Cargo predict and source products that fit into a regional and seasonal merchandising strategy tailored to a diverse national rider base.

Other items available through Cargo include buzzworthy hangover cures, trendy beauty products, all-natural premium snacks, and travel electronics. For brands, Cargo is the only scalable, data-driven in-car solution for reaching Millennial and Generation Z audiences who avidly use Uber and other rideshare services.
After successful introductions in New York, Boston, Chicago, Minneapolis, Washington, D.C.,Baltimore, Atlanta and Dallas, the L.A. launch is the next step in Cargo’s nationwide expansionplan for 2018.
